The Brazilian study on vitamin D

These studies were conducted in hospitals specializing in the treatment of patients with coronary heart disease. One of these studies was conducted in Brazil and published in 2012.

The study found that those patients who had a very low vitamin D level were twice as likely to succumb to heart failure than those who had normal vitamin D levels in the body.
